Arad/Dimona, Israel – Mar. 21, 2026Multiple missile strikes in southern Israel on Saturday evening caused extensive destruction in the cities of Dimona and Arad, leaving 115 people injured, including 11 in serious condition and 20 in moderate condition, with the remainder suffering mild injuries or anxiety.

The first strike occurred at approximately 7:00 PM in Dimona, where a direct hit caused heavy damage to several buildings. Emergency responders treated and transported 31 individuals, including one in serious condition, one moderate, and dozens with lighter injuries, many sustained from shrapnel or while rushing to shelters.

Roughly three hours later, at around 10:15 PM, a second missile struck Arad, resulting in even greater casualties. 84 people were treated and evacuated, including 10 in serious condition and 19 in moderate condition, as rescue teams worked through scenes of heavy destruction and chaos.

Across both locations, large emergency response teams operated amid damaged buildings, shattered glass, and trapped individuals calling for help. Search efforts continued into the night to locate additional victims, while hospitals—primarily Soroka Medical Center—received dozens of injured.

Many of the injuries were caused not only by the blasts themselves but also while civilians rushed to protected spaces. In addition, 27 individuals were treated for anxiety-related symptoms.

Emergency medical teams, working alongside security and rescue forces, established treatment centers at the scenes, triaged patients based on severity, and carried out evacuations by ambulance and additional support units.
