Luigi Mangione has officially waived his extradition rights and could be returned to New York City as soon as Thursday to face charges. Mangione appeared at a hearing in Blair County, Pennsylvania Thursday morning to discuss extradition.

Once extradition paperwork is complete, the NYPD would be allowed to transport Mangione from Pennsylvania to New York City.

After he arrives in Manhattan, Mangione would be arraigned as soon as Thursday afternoon, Patch previously reported.

Mangione, who is accused of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in Midtown Manhattan, has been indicted on first and second degree murder charges in his New York City case, the Manhattan District Attorney announced on Tuesday.... Read More: Pikesville Patch
