Baltimore, MD - Oct. 14, 2024 - Maryland mail-in ballot canvassing for the 2024 General Election starts on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
Local boards of elections will begin the process of opening, reviewing, and counting over 262,000 mail-in ballots that voters have returned thus far, according to the Maryland State Board of Elections.
Per Maryland Law, local boards of elections meet eight days prior to the start of Early voting, which begins on Oct. 15, to start canvassing. Both Democrats and Republicans must be involved in this process.
Canvassing may continue in the following days, but not on Election Day, Nov. 5. All mail-in ballots postmarked on or before Nov. 5 will be canvassed.... Read More: FOX45
