Jerusalem, Israel - Sept. 5, 2022 - AGROMASHOV, Israel's Largest Agricultural Conference, and CLEANTECH, two international conferences & exhibitions, were held in Jerusalem, Israel, starting on Sept 5-6, 2022, at the International Jerusalem Conference Center, Binyanei Hauma.

Israel is a central meeting point of the Agriculture and CleanTech Industry with Europe, Asia, and Africa. The geographical central location of Jerusalem attracted an international response. Delegates arrived from countries including Nigeria, Angola, and South Africa, happy to be able to travel again for the live event after two years of pandemic limitations.

The conference was for Israeli companies and international businesses to expose their products and services to eager international customers, and for buyers to create new commercial contacts. Joining the projected 7,000 participants of the international agricultural market, growers, buyers, decision-makers, retailers, wholesalers, importers, influencers, and investors at the Jerusalem Conference Center, were Ambassadors and representatives from embassies in Israel, including Australia, Kosovo, Nepal, Viet Nam, and Thailand.

Action on the climate crisis and how Israel is working to integrate into the globally sustainable innovation ecosystem were topics included in the programming.  From the huge John Deere machinery parked outside near the entrance to the other machines displayed in the lobby, one could find, of course, olive oil and watermelon, but everything from gluten-free pizza to an alcohol sabra cactus treat, along with the usual cucumbers and melons, and alongside the solar tech and clean tech displays.

A panel of judges was busy at work selecting their favorite cherry tomatoes before the lunch hour.

Present was Alon Shoham, the new Director of Overseas of MASHAV, the Hebrew acronym for the Agency for International Development Cooperation in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel. MASHAV is responsible for the design, coordination, and implementation of the State of Israel's worldwide development and cooperation programs in developing countries. Bringing water and solar technology to Africa are just two areas where MASHAV has been helping to improve the quality of life for thousands of people.
