Baltimore, MD - Aug. 16, 2025 - The Baltimore City Department of Transportation (BCDOT) would like to advise motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians of the tentatively scheduled weekday lane and road closures for the following activities in the downtown area. Motorists are encouraged to download the Waze.com app for live detour navigation. All activities are weather permitting and times are approximate. BCDOT is not responsible for providing status updates and this list may not be comprehensive of all roadwork in the downtown area.
Downtown lane and road closures scheduled for the week of August 18-22, 2025 include:
- Guilford Avenue lane closure (full time) between Preston and Biddle Streets now in effect through late August (BGE pipeline project).
- Guilford Avenue one travel lane open (full time) between E. Lexington and E. Fayette Streets now in effect.
- Monument Street lane closure (full time) between Guilford Avenue and N. Calvert Street now in effect through Fall, 2025 (BGE pipeline project).
- Maryland Avenue one travel lane open (full time) between I-83 and Oliver Street now in effect through late August (BGE pipeline project).
- South Street daily lane closures between Fayette and Baltimore Streets from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day.
- Pratt Street nightly lane closures will be implemented for the Inner Harbor Intersection Improvement Project starting Sunday evening, August 17, from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. each night through Thursday evening, August 21, 2025, from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning.
Road and Lane Closures for Baltimore Orioles Home Games
The following road and lane closures will be implemented on Thursday, August 21st starting at approximately 4:00 p.m. and Friday, August 22, 2025 starting at 4:00 p.m. for Baltimore Orioles home games at Oriole Park at Camden Yards:
- Hamburg Street closed from Leadenhall to Paca Streets
- The northbound service lane next to M&T Bank Stadium
- Camden Street from Paca to Howard Streets
Motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians traveling in these areas should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
