Several Arab nations, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, are demanding that Hamas lay down its arms and agree to a two-state solution as the terror group's war with Israel rages.
The entire Arab League, the European Union and 17 other countries backed the "New York Declaration" Tuesday, during a conference co-chaired by France and Saudi Arabia.
The declaration calls for the unification of Gaza and the West Bank under the Palestinian Authority's control and "the end of armed group control and the dismantlement of their military capabilities," likely referring to Hamas and other Palestinian terror groups.

Annapolis, MD - July 30, 2025 - A big fair housing ruling out of Maryland's Supreme Court.
The State's High Court on Monday ruled landlords cannot disqualify tenant applicants based solely on their source of income, specifically those with government funded housing vouchers.
In deciding the case of Katrina Hare v.s. David S. Brown Enterprises, the court cited a 2020 state law called "The Housing Opportunities Made Equal (HOME) Act."
Essentially the law prohibits property owners from considering someone's source of income when determining who they rent or sell a home to.
Its primary purpose was to prevent discrimination against residents who are provided with government vouchers that pay for a majority or all housing costs.
In this particular situat...

Violations carry a $40 fine, though no points will be added ...
During the Global Parliamentary Summit today (Wednesday), hosted at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Speaker of the Knesset Amir Ohana addressed dozens of parliamentary leaders from around the world. The Iranian, Yemeni, and Palestinian Authority stormed out of the summit when Ohana got up to speak.
Ohana harshly criticized Western recognition of a Palestinian state, saying: “Rewarding Hamas with statehood will not bring stability, partnership, or peace. It will only lead to more bloodshed of Israelis and Jews. If you want to establish what you call a Palestinian state - establish it in London, Paris, in your own countries - which are increasingly resembling the Middle East.”
At the height of his speech, Ohana displayed an iPad...
The U.S. economy returned to growth in the second quarter after contracting in the first, largely due to trade swings.
The Commerce Department said U.S. gross domestic product—the value of all goods and services produced across the economy—rose at a seasonally and inflation adjusted 3.0% annual rate in the second quarter.
The reading exceeded the 2.3% growth that economists surveyed by The Wall Street Journal expected.
It followed a first quarter where GDP shrank at a 0.5% annual rate as businesses loaded up on imports to get ahead of the Trump administration’s anticipated tariffs.
Consumer spending increased at a 1.4% pace, picking up from the first quarter as a steady labor market underpinned households’ spending power. But consumer spending was offset ...
Israel is not responsible to provide aid to Gaza, US Senator Tom Cotton has clarified.
"Obviously their generals and their political leadership understand the security situation at each particular distribution site better than I do, or better than a Palestinian American would," Sen. Cotton said.
"But I do trust them to do everything they can to try to alleviate any Hamas-imposed suffering on Gazans."
He stressed, "I just want to point out to you what an unusual, I would say singular standard that the world seems to impose on Israel yet again. Israel was viciously attacked on October 7, without provocation. People were slaughtered, children were killed, women were raped, and yet the world expects Israel to provide food to the people from the land that launched that attack."
"Correct me ...
The US Justice Department alleged on Tuesday that the University of California, Los Angeles, failed to prevent a hostile environment for its Jewish and Israeli students since the start of October 2023.
According to the Justice Department, UCLA "violated the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 by acting with deliberate indifference in creating a hostile educational environment for Jewish and Israeli students."

Baltimore, MD - July 29, 2025 - Our committee has been very busy these last few weeks getting in touch with our mills to see what the forecasts are for the Chodosh harvest for wheat, barley and oats. As we know, this has been a year of unusual weather. Very rainy in some (maybe most) places and very dry in others. This seems to be creating a difficult scenario for crop forecasts and large discrepancies amongst farmers and mills. Some crops in drier places will be earlier than usual. In places that have seen lots of rain, it will be later.
Here is where things stand now.
Pasta Products, Semolina & Durum Flour – Chodosh may enter the mills very soon. This means Chodosh pasta products, semolina and durum flour may be on retail shelves in 2-3 weeks from now. Exact dates TBD, b...
