Annapolis, MD - June 12, 2025 - Maryland Gov. Wes Moore announced a Customer Relief Fund on Thursday that will provide $19 million in relief for limited-and-middle-income customers of BGE during an anticipated increase in energy bills.

Moore was joined by officials from BGE, its sister utilities Pepco and Delmarva Power, and nonprofit partners from the United Way of Central Maryland, the Salvation Army, Harford Community Action Agency, and Shore UP! to announce the fund.

It's expected that the fund will provide BGE residential customers with $15 million, and eligible customers could qualify for a one-time grant ranging from $250 to $750.
