Baltimore, MD - May 23, 2025) - Today, Mayor Brandon M. Scott issued the following traffic and safety updates in effect for Memorial Day weekend and Artscape.

The Baltimore City Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will be activated from Saturday, May 24th through Monday, May 26th. The Level II "Partial Activation" will support city operations and services for Artscape and Memorial Day weekend.

Road Closures

The following streets will be closed from Thursday, May 22nd at 4:00 p.m. to Monday, May 26th at 12:00 a.m.:

  • Jones Falls Expressway Lot, between N. Gay Street and Pleasant Street
  • Jones Falls Expressway Lot, between Holliday Street and Guilford Avenue
  • Sheriff Lot, between Holliday Street and Guilford Ave
  • Mercy Lot, between Holliday Street and Guilford Ave

The following streets will be closed from Friday, May 23rd at 2:00 p.m. to Monday, May 26th at 12:00 a.m.:

  • Fayette Street closed from President Street to Guilford Avenue
  • Gay Street closed from E. Baltimore Street to E. Saratoga Street
  • Holliday Street closed from E. Baltimore Street to Pleasant Street
  • Pleasant Street closed from Fallsway to Guilford Avenue
  • Pleasant Street Ramp closed at SB Jones Falls Expressway
  • Lexington Street closed from Guilford Avenue to N. Frederick Street
  • Frederick Street closed from E. Fayette Street to E. Lexington Street
  • Dickey Place closed from Guilford Avenue to Holliday Street
  • Saratoga Street closed from Holliday Street to N. Gay Street
  • Saratoga Street between Holliday Street and Guilford Avenue will have a temporary two-way traffic pattern implemented for Breco Condominium residents
  • Parking Restrictions

    Parking restrictions in preparation for Artscape began at 12:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 20th and will continue throughout the week. Motorists are also urged to pay close attention to posted parking restrictions as vehicles parked in violation will be ticketed and towed.
