Bethesda, MD - May 12, 2025 - On Wednesday, May 7th, Magen David Sephardic Congregation of North Bethesda, Maryland, hosted "Voices of October 7th," a deeply emotional event highlighting the personal stories of those impacted by the Hamas terrorist attacks in Israel. Survivors and family members shared their experiences to honor the memory of the victims and to ensure the truth about the atrocities committed on that day is never forgotten.

Among the speakers was Noam Ben David, a survivor of the Nova Music Festival massacre, who was shot and also lost her boyfriend David during the attack.

Noam was treated at Laniado Hospital in the aftermath of the attack, receiving both medical care and emotional support. In recognition of her incredible fortitude and commitment to share her experience, Rabbi Chanan Daniel Skurnik, Laniado Hospital’s Mid-Atlantic Executive Director, presented her with a special award honoring her courage.

Also speaking were Ariel Ein Gal, who recounted his terrifying experience escaping from Zikim Beach as Hamas terrorists infiltrated the area, and Maayan Snapir, granddaughter of Oded Lifshitz, who was kidnapped from Nir Oz and later murdered in Hamas captivity.

This event served as a critical platform for spreading the truth about the horrors perpetrated by Hamas on October 7. In a time when global antisemitism is surging at alarming rates, gatherings like this play an essential role in combating denial, misinformation, and hate. The stories shared were not just memories—they were testimonies to the resilience of the human spirit and the importance of standing together in the face of hatred.
