Baltimore, MD - May 7, 2025 -  Some Baltimore County Public School employees will have to reapply for their jobs, the latest measure in the district’s continued cost-reduction efforts.

Superintendent Myriam Rogers confirmed during Tuesday night’s school board meeting that some employees will have to reapply for their jobs. Rogers said the central office and non-school-based position hiring freeze would be extended in light of the fiscal situation.

Rogers didn’t specify how many employees would be subject to this reapplication process in her report to the board, but she implied that roles affected would be primarily be non-school-based positions.

“If you have multiple positions and that is being reduced by a certain number, there has to be a fair process where all staff members who are part of that position get to express their interest and go through the interview process.”... Read More: FOX45
