After hearing the devastating news about the deaths of Shiri, Ariel, and Kfir Bibas A”H, I went straight to the piano, and this song poured out of me. It was as if the melody and lyrics were already waiting to be expressed, born from heartbreak but also from something deeper—a longing that transcends this world.

Written from the perspective of a hostage conversing with our father in heaven, the song captures the desperate yearning to return home, not just in the physical sense but in the spiritual one as well. It serves as a reminder that, at our core, we all long to come home—to our families, to safety, and ultimately, to our Creator.

This song is my way of honoring their memory, holding onto hope, and expressing a truth that unites us all. I felt a deep urgency to release the song and video before פסח, because פסח is the story of our ancestors’ freedom from captivity in Egypt. It is the story of hope, redemption, and miracles for our people. As we gather this year to retell that story, may we merit to see the miracles of יציאת מצרים in our own time.

May every captive be freed, may every broken heart be comforted, and may we all soon be reunited together in ירושלים with the arrival of משיח במהרה בימינו.
