Jerusalem, Israel - March 28, 2025 - Israel’s Minister of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism, Amichai Chikli, initiated a conference to combat antisemitism in Jerusalem, Israel, at the Jerusalem International Convention Center on Wednesday and Thursday, under the title of Ambassadors of Truth.

These international gatherings began with MK Natan Sharansky and a small group around one table. Under President Reuven Rivlin, the world leaders attending his mega event included Presidents, Princes, and Kings. Most years in between the event was held in the same venue with tables of invited dignitaries. This year, European politics cast a shadow on the event, though one would not know it from the crowded room filled with chairs for the main speakers and panels.

Minister Chikli opened the general program, with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar being the second speaker. He praised Trump for his actions in the US against the antisemitic rioters on campuses and the “bold steps” he has taken with the universities.

US President Donald Trump received positive reactions from those in attendance. The largest crowd passed security, sat and stood for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

He began his remarks: "Minister Chikli, ‏thank you for hosting this conference. And all of you distinguished guests who have come here.

‏I want to start with two words: Thank you.

‏Thank you for coming to Jerusalem; Thank you for standing with Israel; Thank you for standing with the Jewish people; Thank you for standing with the forces of civilization against the forces of barbarism.

‏I say barbarism, because antisemitism is a disease carried by barbarians that threatens all civilized societies."

And concluded his keynote address: ‏" 'As Herzl predicted in 1986: 'The Maccabees will rise again. The Jews who wish for a state will have it. We shall live at last as free men on our own soil. The world will be freed by our liberty, enriched by our wealth, and magnified by our greatness. And whatever we accomplish there for our own welfare will powerfully benefit all of humanity.'

‏"All this has happened. Israel is a fount of innovation, of progress, which we share with all humanity.

‏"But the most important change is this. Our soldiers are truly the modern Maccabees. We refuse to surrender to terrorism. We do not bow our heads to antisemitism. We fight back. We do so on the battlefields of the Middle East. And with your help, we will fight antisemitism on the intellectual and political battlefields of the world.

"There is only one basic requirement for winning this war.

"‏I was recently in Washington, where I met President Trump. But I took time to meet 50 Jewish students, the leaders of tomorrow. They told me how they were being harassed on campus, violently harassed. One student told me that he was facing the dean of the university who invited one of the Hamas killers to give a lecture. In an elite American university. And I said, What are you doing about it? He said, I'm suing him. I said, Good for you. This is exactly what you should be doing.

"‏Do not apologize. Do not bow your head. Stand strong. Stand together.

‏And I say this to all of you: thank you for your clarity, thank you for your courage.

‏G-d bless you all.

‏G-d bless the Jewish people and G-d bless the many friends of Israel here and around the world."

Protesters of the conference who called to boycott it were against the invitations issued to "far right" European politicians. Jordan Bardella, president of the French National Rally party, spoke. He blamed rising antisemitism in Europe on migration and Islamism and stated support for Israel. Former US Ambassador David Friedman was also on the stage for a one-on-one interview.

Panels of impressive international speakers focused on “How Progressivism Fell Captive to Antisemitism” and “How Radical Islam Fuels Antisemitism in the West.” Jewish, Christian, and Muslim pro-Israel active voices in the media participated in the many sessions in the long day schedule.

The evening program involved music and entertainment, with the keynote speaker being Ayaan Hirsi Ali. Australian Erin Molan received an award from Minister Chikli. However, a highlight of the night was also the young US college students present who stood up to antisemitism on campus, including Harvard's Shabbos Kestenbaum. They added a positive note to what had been cast before in a negative light.

Photo essay includes many of the speakers and attendees, too numerous to mention.
