Jerusalem, Israel – Feb. 19, 2025 – A 50-year-old woman was moderately wounded Wednesday night in a suspected terror attack on Or HaChaim Street in the Old City of Jerusalem when she was assaulted by a man armed with an axe.

Magen David Adom (MDA) EMTs and paramedics arrived at the scene and provided emergency medical care to the woman, who was conscious and suffering from wounds to her upper body. She was quickly evacuated through the narrow alleys using MDA's special all-terrain vehicle before being transferred to a Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at Zion Gate.

MDA Senior EMT Yossi Kasuto described the response:
"I was dispatched by the MDA control center to my neighbors' home. I quickly arrived at the scene and saw a woman around 50 years old, fully conscious, lying with injuries to her upper body. We provided life-saving treatment and evacuated her through the alleys while continuing care. She was then transferred to the MICU waiting at Zion Gate and transported to the hospital, where her condition was assessed as moderate and stable."

Security forces were immediately deployed to the scene, and an investigation is ongoing into the suspected terror attack.
