Police are intensifying their search for the suspect who fatally shot Brian Thompson, 50, the chief executive of UnitedHealth’s insurance arm, in a targeted attack outside a New York City hotel early Wednesday.
Authorities executed a warrant Thursday at an Upper West Side hostel in connection with the case. The suspect, described as brazen and deliberate, left coded messages such as "defend" written on bullets that jammed in his gun during the attack.
Images of a person of interest, smiling and wearing a hood, were released by the NYPD. A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
