Boeing machinists who recently voted to end a seven-week strike, are all expected to return to work by Nov. 12.
While 33,000 machinists will now be working under a new labor contract that includes a 38% pay raise over four years, the company has also announced that layoffs will be happening. This adds new uncertainty for the company's employees.
Circulating reports suggested the layoff notices could go out as early as this week.
"Most affected U.S. employees will be notified mid-November and leave the company on Jan. 17,"said a Boeing spokesperson. "We are supporting these teammates with additional resources such as severance pay and career transition services." ... Read More: FOX45
