Baltimore, MD – Aug. 23, 2025 – Repair work to damaged concrete has closed two lanes of Interstate 795 this weekend.

Two northbound lanes of I-795 are closed between the Beltway and the Owings Mills Boulevard exit. The closures began Friday at 8 p.m. and will remain in place through 5 a.m. Monday, according to the Maryland State Highway Administration.

SHA officials noted there will be times when drivers may not see crews actively working, but the lanes must stay closed to allow the concrete to cure properly to highway strength.

Drivers are advised to use Reisterstown or Liberty roads as alternate routes.

The project is part of SHA’s $8.5 million contract aimed at improving safety and operations on interstate highways in Baltimore and Harford counties.
