Baltimore, MD - June 3, 2025 - The start of a new month means new laws are now in effect in Maryland after the governor signed them into law.

One of those laws forces the MVA to tack on 12 points against the driver’s license of anyone convicted of DUI.

Fishing licenses are also going up. It’s the first time that’s happened in two decades.

The number of speed cameras will go from two to four on the JFX.

A new law also prevents ICE from using personal data for immigration enforcement and stops them from going to certain places without a warrant.

Also, the orange crush becomes the official drink of Maryland, and chromite is the official state mineral.
