Gadi Mozes and Arbel Yehud are transferred to Red Cross

Tel Aviv - Jan. 30, 2025 - After 482 days in Hamas captivity, IDF soldier Agam Berger was released Thursday morning. In the early afternoon, Gadi Mozes, 80, and Arbel Yehud, 29, were also released.

12:42 p.m.: Agam Berger meets her family in Israel.

12:41 p.m.: Gadi Mozes, 80, is walking on his own two feet towards the meeting place in Khan Yunis.

12:36 p.m.: Watch: Agam Berger is transferred to IDF forces.

11:22 a.m.: The Government Press Office (GPO) has published a photo of the Berger family from the initial reception facility, watching as Agam is transferred to the Red Cross.

11:18 a.m.: "A short while ago, accompanied by IDF and ISA forces, the returning hostage, IDF soldier Agam Berger, crossed the border into Israeli territory," the IDF and ISA confirmed. "The returning hostage is currently on her way to an initial reception point in southern Israel, where she will be reunited with her parents."

10:38 a.m.: The Prime Minister's Office said: "The government of Israel embraces Agam Berger, a soldier in the Israel Defense Forces. Her family was updated by the responsible authorities that she is with our forces. The government, together with all of the security officials, will accompany her and her family. The Israeli government is committed to returning all of the kidnapped and missing. 'And I will return the captivity of My people Israel,' (Amos 9:14)."

10:32 a.m.: The IDF reported: "The returning hostage is currently being accompanied by IDF special forces and ISA forces on her return to Israeli territory, where she will undergo an initial medical assessment."

"The commanders and soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces salute and embrace the returning hostage as she makes her way home to the State of Israel.

"The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit asks everyone to respect her privacy. The IDF is prepared to receive additional hostages in the near future."

10: 08 a.m.: The IDF and ISA confirmed: "According to the information received from the Red Cross, one female hostage was passed to its hands and they are making their way to the IDF and ISA force in Gaza."
