Baltimore, MD – Dec. 17, 2024 – On Sunday morning, December 15th, Maryland Governor Wes Moore and First Lady Dawn Moore welcomed friends from the Jewish community to Maryland’s Government House for their annual Chanukah brunch. The tradition, initiated by Governor Bob Ehrlich and continued under Governors Martin O’Malley and Larry Hogan, has become a cherished fixture in Maryland. The brunch brought together a broad cross-section of Jewish communal leaders, including Rabbi Ariel Sadwin, Executive Director of Agudah Maryland, Baltimore City Councilman Isaac “Yitzy” Schleifer, noted community leader Howard Tzvi Friedman, Rabbi Chesky Tenenbaum, Director of Jewish Uniformed Service Association of Maryland – Chabad, and State Delegate Dalya Attar, to name a few, who joined in the spirit of Chanukah while offering their best wishes for continued success to Governor Moore and the First Lady.
