Annapolis, MD - May 12, 2022 - Delegate Dalya Attar sponsored several bills to help relieve high property taxes this session, and all three bills passed both Chambers.  Governor Hogan signed the following bills of Delegate Attar into law:

House Bill 1398, which terminates the sunset for the Baltimore City Residential Retention Act.  This law provides a real property tax credit in the amount of $4000 to Baltimore City residents who received the Homestead Tax Credit for the last five years and relocate to a newly purchased dwelling in Baltimore City.

House Bill 203, which requires the State Department of Assessment and Taxation to retroactively grant the homestead property tax credit for the prior taxable year.

House Bill 204,  which authorizes the State Department of Assessment and Taxation to accept an application for the homeowner's property tax credit from a homeowner one year after the April 15th deadline under certain circumstances.

We thank Delegate Attar for her continuous hard-work for the community and all her constituents.
