Talks will engage in 'human rights and democratic principles, freedom of religion, fight against antisemitism'

The European Union said Thursday it will next week hold the first meeting of its Association Council with Israel in 10 years, as it looks to reset ties.

Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid will hold talks with EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell in Belgium on October 3 "against the backdrop of global challenges such as Russia's military aggression against Ukraine,” the EU said.
