Baltimore, MD - May 16, 2022 - Hatzalah is an organization founded on caring. On Achdus. On responsibility. The usual Hatzalah story focuses on saving lives, and heroic measures. This one is all about caring, brotherhood, and true achdus for the sake of the team.

When thinking of ways to promote Haztalahthon-3 in Baltimore, M-16 Josh Volosov, one of the responders, and the new owner of a local eatery, Sushi Sakura, had an idea to donate 10% of one day’s restaurant sales back to Hatzalah. He mentioned the idea to another Hatzalah member, M44, who quickly said he would match it. And so the story grew. As each friend and Hatzalah volunteer heard the idea, he matched his own 10% until, in a story of unparalleled achdus, 100% of the day’s proceeds would be donated back to Hatzalah. M16 became nervous - would his new eatery be able to handle all the orders and keep the customers happy as well?

Enter additional Hatzalah members who volunteered to answer the phones, take the orders, and serve as waiters. What better teamwork than to be part of a day where 100% of the sales go back to a cause that was founded on caring, on achdus, and on the beauty of Klal Yisroel? How lucky we are to have such an organization in our city.
