About the Position

Accumulate and maintain, in organized manner, vital statistics related to admissions, discharges, deaths, transfers and daily census of facility residents. Prepare and submit monthly resident billings for services provided. Responsible for monthly Medicaid, Medicare, and other insurance billings along with timely follow-up with intermediaries on delinquent payments in coordination with outside billing company. Obtain and submit all required documentation to bill third party payers. Maintain financial records including cash receipts, cash disbursements, account payable and account receivable. Maintain accurate accounting of patient trust funds including monthly reconciliation and quarterly statements to responsible parties. reconcile petty cash for patient trust fund daily. Coordinate and complete Medicaid application process through collection of all required documents, filing the application timely and providing explanations to the resident on the billing cycle, cost of care, and other processes related to Medicaid. Supervise the receptionists at the front desk. Fluent with Point Click Care, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing. Approachable, flexible and adaptable to change. Strong analytical and problem solving skills a must.preferably three (3) years related experience in a Skilled Nursing/Long Term Care facility.
