According to Gas Buddy, the average cost for a gallon of fuel this year is expected to be around $3.15 — 14 cents lower than in 2024. And that may be just the start for prices falling at the pump. “Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, and when it comes to gas prices, it’s been the cheapest summer to hit the road since the pandemic, a trend that will likely continue with the potential for the national average to fall below $3 per gallon this fall,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. Baltimore, MD – Aug. 26, 2025 – 1:46 PM – A deputy was injured late Tuesday morning in a serious incident on I-95 in Harford County that has closed all northbound and southbound lanes, according to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities confirmed a suspect is in custody, and the deputy was conscious and alert when transported to the hospital. Baltimore, MD - Aug. 26, 2025 - A federal judge on Tuesday threw out the Trump administration’s lawsuit against Maryland’s entire federal bench over an order by the chief judge that stopped the immediate deportation of migrants challenging their removals.
