The leader of Yemen's Houthi rebels, Abdul Malik al-Houthi, declared on Friday that his group would resume attacks against Israel if the blockade preventing aid from reaching Gaza is not lifted within four days, Reuters reported.
"We will give a deadline for four days. This deadline is for the (Gaza ceasefire) mediators for their efforts," al-Houthi stated.
"If the Israeli enemy after four days continues to prevent the humanitarian aid into Gaza and continues to completely close the crossings, we will resume our naval operations against the Israeli enemy," he added.
The Houthi rebels have upped their attacks in the region since October of 2023, having launched drones and ballistic missiles towards cities in Israel while also targeting commercial ships ...
US President Donald Trump said on Friday that something related to Iran is “going to happen very soon”.
“We have a situation with Iran that something's going to happen very soon, very, very soon. You'll be talking about that pretty soon, I guess,” Trump told reporters at the Oval Office.
“And hopefully we can have a peace deal,” he added. “You know, I'm not speaking out of strength or weakness. I'm just saying I'd rather see a peace deal than the other [option], but the other will solve the problem.”
The comments came after Trump revealed to Fox News that he sent a letter to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, demanding that they negotiate.
The letter said that Trump prefers to hold negotiatio...
Baltimore, MD - March 7, 2025 - Layoffs soared across the United States in February, but the pace was much slower at Maryland-based companies last month amid a mass of federal government job cuts and canceled contracts, along with staff reductions at retailers and other businesses.
Nationwide, job cuts jumped 245 percent last month, according to executive outplacement firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas. There were 172,017 layoffs announced in February across all sectors, and Challenger said that 62,242 of these were federal agencies impacted by the Department of Government Efficiency's efforts to slash spending.
That is the highest monthly total for layoffs since July 2020, when 262,649 cuts were announced, according to a Challenger Report published on Thursd...

Motzai Shabbos the clocks move forward one hour (spring forward, fall back, you are welcome!), meaning the sun sets an hour later in the evening and rises an hour later in the morning. Yes, I also get confused each season if we are really losing or gaining an hour. Here is the simple way to understand it: we will lose an hour of sleep but get an extra hour of light the next day, as the sun sets an hour later. The timing of daylight savings time (DST) this year could not have been more perfect. Daylight savings lasts for nearly 8 months (March to November), lasting a grand total of 240 days to be exact!Think about that, 240 days! This week we read the Parshah of Amalek, something that all yidden are obligated to hear. It is known that the gematria of עמלק is 240, the same as ספק, or do...

We thank G-d each morning for His role in 'clothing the naked' — מלביש ערומים.
When did G-d provide us with clothing?
G-d provides all the material in the world that we utilize in fashioning the items that serve our needs. Why is clothing singled out more than our furniture that is made from wood, or tools produced from metals, or the myriads of wondrous raw materials we apply to enhance our lives?
G-d did directly provide clothing once. After Adam and Chava sinned and 'discovered' their nakedness, 'G-d made for Adam and his wife garments of skin, וילבשם — and he clothed them.'
What, though, does that have to do with us?
Even more intriguing is the observation of the Baal HaTurim, that the exact verb for 'he clothed...

The Trump administration is cutting off $400 million in federal funding to Columbia University, claiming it has failed to take steps to confront antisemitism on campus after Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attack on Israel, The Free Press has learned.
The cuts represent the federal government’s first round of grant cancellations for Columbia, according to the administration’s newly formed antisemitism task force, which is leading the effort. Columbia has over $5 billion in active federal grants that are being reviewed by the government.
Leo Terrell, the head of the DOJ’s antisemitism task force, said the funding cuts are “only the beginning.”
“Universities must comply with all federal antidiscrimination laws if they are go...
U.S. President Donald Trump said he wants to negotiate a nuclear deal with Iran and sent a letter to its leadership this week suggesting talks with the Islamic Republic, which the West fears is rapidly nearing the capability to make atomic weapons.
"I said I hope you're going to negotiate, because it's going to be a lot better for Iran," Trump said in an interview with Fox Business Network broadcast on Friday.
"I think they want to get that letter. The other alternative is we have to do something, because you can't let another nuclear weapon."
Iran has not yet received the letter, Iran's mission to the United Nations in New York said on Friday. There was no immediate response from the foreign ministry in Iran, where it is the weekend, to a reque...
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was not informed ahead of time that the US was holding direct talks with the Hamas terror group on the next stages in a potential deal, the Washington Post reported.
According to the report, Israel fumed at US President Donald Trump's decision, saying that holding direct talks with the terror group on the matter of the hostages' release violates the ethical code of conduct on the matter and harms Israel.
Diplomatic sources told the Post that Netanyahu was caught by surprise when he saw reports about the process, and that he was not updated through official channels before the talks took place.
Earlier, the White House said that the Trump administration informed Israel of these talks ahead of time. The Prim...
Former Vice President Kamala Harris is seriously considering a run for governor of California and has set a self-imposed deadline to decide by the end of summer.
Despite holding a strong lead in early national polls for potential presidential candidates, Harris has had candid discussions with advisers in Washington about the challenges of a primary run. Her aides note that she has long been intrigued by the prospect of leading the world’s fifth-largest economy and making history as the first Black woman governor in the US.
Since leaving office, Harris has maintained a visible presence in Democratic politics, signaling her intent to remain a key party leader—whether on the national stage or in California.
She has also retained several of her most senior and trusted aides thro...

The Chief of Staff and I agreed that I will conclude my position in the coming weeks, and I will leave the IDF."
Hagari added: "We will continue to remain governmental, professional, and strengthen the public's trust and the truth. The past two years were challenging for all of us. I had the merit of commanding an amazing ...
